1969 Camaro Z28 - 302 V-8 Engine 4 - Speed Cowl Induction

The '69 Z28 was one of the hottest-looking rides of the classic muscle car era, and showed what Chevy stylists could do to express performance and excitement. If you're a fan of style, speed and swagger, you simply can't go wrong with the legendary Camaro. One of the cars that practically defined the golden age of Detroit, Chevy's beloved panther has become some of the best-selling muscle of all time. Not surprisingly, demand for these cornerstone classics continues to be strong. The beneficiary of a detailed restoration, this real-deal X33 D80 Z/28 is probably one of the coolest F1s we've offered lately. With a buff drivetrain, solid sheetmetal and eye catching Daytona Yellow on Black aesthetics, it's the perfect turn-key muscle car for anyone who enjoys the hobby to its fullest. And if you're looking for an impressive set of wheels that'll roll straight out of the showroom and right in to the fast lane, it's your next muscle car!

With its timeless proportions and modernist panels, the first generation Camaro is an inherently attractive design. At the front of this clean F1, a silver-trimmed grille anchors a two-tone “Z/28” emblem between bright halogen headlights, a body color endura bumper, '69-exclusive parking lamps and a front chin spoiler. Above that grille, a Camaro-branded header leads the eye past a correct hood to like-new glass that's seated in straight stainless frames. At the sides of that glass, a small mirror combines with traditional door handles, fresh rocker trim, simple “Camaro” emblems and bright “Z/28” badges to detail the car's sculpted fuselage. And at the back, a Camaro-branded decklid hangs a D80 spoiler above a “Z/28” emblem, '69-exclusive taillights and a second mirrored bumper. Finished off with a Berger Chevrolet dealer emblem.

Under this coupe's cowl hood you'll find a 302 cubic inch, era-correct small block that fronts a familiar 3970014 casting number with a correct “CE” assembly stamp. Straight from the factory, Chevrolet's high performance SCCA Mustang slayer utilized high-flow, rectangular-port heads, a forged steel crank, forged steel rods and forged aluminum pistons to twist stout 11 to 1 compression into more than 350 horsepower! At the top of the red-hot mill, a black, cowl induction air cleaner swirls wind in to a correct Winters intake thanks to a familiar Holley carburetor. At the sides of that intake, authentic 'double hump' heads hang finned valve covers over shielded exhaust manifolds. And at the back of those heads, a mandatory points distributor shoots spark through fresh Packard TV R Suppression cables. When fired, the infamous 302 snarls and barks like a real competition piece. Its ancillary components are top-notch in every way, with GM hoses, a Delco brake booster and a reproduction Delco master cylinder accompanying a rebuilt alternator. And an evenly sprayed combination of Chevy Orange skin and Satin Black framing is capped by full hood insulation.

Back in 1969, the only transmission you could get with your Z/28 was a tough Muncie 4-speed, and that's exactly what lives behind this car's mean small block. Naturally, that stalwart gear slinger centers a correct M -21 transmission. There's an original BU code 3.73 gear 12-bolt rear end, which rides in suspension that centers factory power steering between 4-piston, Corvette-style brakes. That suspension is dissected by a beefy, true-dual exhaust system, which is fitted with a correct, transversely mounted muffler. That exhaust system is framed by solid floors, which are layered in Satin Black paint. The Z28 rolls on 15-inch Rally Wheels, which spin BF Goodrich Radial T/As around dent-free trim rings and correct turbine center caps. And that chassis has, like the car's engine bay, been restored to sorted, road-ready condition.

The Standard Black interior hiding behind this Camaro's small doors illustrates the true, no frills intentions of Chevrolet's original Z/28. Its vinyl bucket seats look and feel fantastic. In front of those seats, a monochromatic dash, which exhibits no signs of cracking or peeling, hangs a correct AC high rev tachometer beside a center fuel gauge. At the bottom of that dash a factor radio delete plate. That seat, dash combo is completely framed by a tight headliner, shielded carpet and correct rubber floor mats. In front of the driver, a simulated wood steering wheel laps a bright blue bowtie. And behind the passengers, the car's solid trunk hides a full-size spare tire on top of a correct rubber trunk mat. Finished off with a correct jack assembly. The backside of the trunk lid displays the jack & posi rear instruction decals.

This awesome Camaro is an impressive muscle car that features an ideal blend of performance and style. Thanks to its spry drivetrain and quality restoration, it'll be an absolute pleasure to drive and show off. If you've been patiently waiting for the opportunity to pick up an excellent F1, here's your chance!
