1949 Pontiac Silver Streak Pro Street Rod - 350 V8 Automatic A/C Coil Over Shock

This 1949 Pontiac Silver Streak has a terrific classic style. But beneath the vintage looks is upgraded V8 power, an updated suspension, A/C interior, and more. It's a total package built to make sure that enjoying rolling nostalgia doesn't mean given giving up any comfort. This '49 Silver Streak received a full professional frame-off restoration which was completed in 2014. You have the best of both worlds: classic styling and modern power and safety. Over $50k was invested in this outstanding Pontiac which will easily be a standout on the road or show field!

The gorgeous body was stripped to bare metal by Abby auto body and Hot Rod Dreamworks in Oregon. Painted in base/clear with Light Iris Pearl on the body and Dark Iris Pearl on the top. A beautiful yet subtle combination that always elicits comments from viewers. The chrome was replated and the trim was polished and are in excellent condition. The body and paint still show extremely well and highlights the straight body.

The interior was fully reupholstered by Hopps upholstery in Oregon City, Oregon. The seats were rebuilt for comfortable touring and cruising. Full power windows and door locks. Flaming River tilt steering wheel. Vintage air conditioning, AM/FM Stereo CD, and rebuilt gauges highlight the beautiful interior. A Pontiac tachometer sits above the restored dash and is a nice touch to this well built pro street rod.

Every piece of the frame was taken off during the restoration and then prior to rebuild everything was upgraded for a modern ride and handling. The front half of the frame is rebuilt from a 1985 Cadillac making the ride incredibly comfortable. The rear frame ws custom built and tubed by Jackson Kustom Cars of Newberg, Oregon to fit the oversized rear tires. Lincoln Mark VII 4-wheel power disc brakes do the stopping. The rear suspension is a 4-link with coil over shocks. Pan hard bar. The rear end is a Currie posi-traction 9 inch NASCAR truck series with Richmond 3.10 gears.

The engine is a new crate Chevrolet 350/350 HP V8. The manifold is a Edelbrock RPM performer. A Holley 650 Carburetor supplies the air/fuel mixture while a stainless Flowmaster exhaust handles the tone. A MSD electronic ignition, electric fan, front runner power steering pump, high output alternator, Sweet 16 power steering from Nascar and a set of Hedman ceramic coated headers finish off the engine bay. This beauty is riding on a set of painted wheels with chrome trim rings and BFG radial tires.
