1993 Ford F150 SVT Lightning - Documented Low Mile Example 1 Of 2,691!

Another iconic Ford from the SVT Collection, this 1993 Ford F150 isn't your average pickup truck. This example is wonderfully preserved with only 50,385 miles showing on the odometer. The SVT Lightning was Ford's entry into the sport truck market, based around its lightest full-size truck combination: a regular cab, short wheelbase, 2-wheel drive F150. Model year 1993 was the introduction of this factory-customized pickup truck. A long list of interior and exterior features is combined with Ford's 5.8L V-8, a 240 HP mill based off of the popular 351 Windsor platform. A set of GT40 cylinder heads allowed the Windsor to breathe like never before, and the engine also featured a custom tubular intake manifold and stainless-steel tubular exhaust headers. Behind the stout V-8 was Ford's E40D 4-speed automatic transmission, and an 8.8 rear axle with an aggressive 4.10:1 gear ratio as well. Limited slip was standard with the SVT Lightning package.

Underneath, this sport truck featured Ford's famous twin I-beam front suspension combined with new coil springs that lowered the ride height by an inch. Out back, the suspension is lowered 2.5 inches for a level stance. When combined with the cast aluminum 17-inch wheels, this made quite the splash in the truck market. It also features a one-inch sway bar front and rear. This introductory year only saw two color options, and the Raven Black paint on this example is sinister. It is one of only 2,691 examples with this color combination, out of the 5,276 Ford SVT Lightning trucks built in 1993. The Lightning decals are intact, as are the other identifying features of the special package. The Charcoal interior, with original Lightning stitching, is in excellent condition. Options include power windows, power door locks, power seats, power mirrors, a tilt steering column and air conditioning, a fold-down console, aftermarket CD player and dual gas tanks.
