1967 Oldsmobile 442 Coupe - Matching #'s 400 V8 Ebony Black with Factory A/C!

This matching numbers 1967 Oldsmobile 442 Hardtop has undergone a comprehensive frame-off restoration and has been finished in the rare and sinister color combination of Ebony Black with a red interior. The 442 was born out of competition between the Pontiac and Oldsmobile divisions of General Motors. The high-performance GTO option of the Pontiac LeMans experienced unexpected success in 1964, and Oldsmobile needed to answer accordingly. Oldsmobile responded with the 442-performance package. It was initially an option package that was to be installed on the popular Cutlass intermediate model and resulted in respectable sales numbers out of the gate and for years to come. A louvered hood makes spotting this 442 fairly easy along with 442 badging and chrome Super Stock wheels. Chrome pieces include front and rear bumpers, tail-light surrounds and beltline trim, including wheel wells, and the rest of the exterior is laser straight. The beautiful red vinyl interior shows very well and presents in excellent condition. Amenities include bucket seats with a sports console and a brushed dashboard, pushbutton AM/FM radio, power antenna, rear defogger, tinted glass, remote driver side mirror, deluxe front and rear seat belts, rubber floor mats, wood ball shift handle, color keyed steering wheel and factory air conditioning. The original matching #'s 400/350 HP V-8 engine is topped with a single carburetor and is run through its paces by the matching #'s automatic transmission. Power is sent to the rear Silvertown redline radial tires mounted on SS wheels through a Positraction differential and is kept in check by power steering and power brakes. This solid California car comes with a jack, spare tire and trunk mat.
