1969 Corvette Convertible - Matching #'s 350 V8 4-Speed Factory A/C!

Nicknamed the Mako Shark, the third generation of Corvettes introduced in 1968 sported such refinements as hidden wipers, ventless side windows, T-Tops and, on Coupes, removable rear windows. In 1969 production jumped to 38,762 units, reflecting the public's wide acceptance of the new Corvette. While similar in appearance to the 1968 model, the 1969 version was considered by most to be a vast improvement in terms of build quality. A “Stingray” one-word script chrome emblem was added to the front fenders just above the side vents and the exterior door opening mechanism was redesigned, eliminating the troublesome separate release button of the year before. Other first-year additions included the introduction of the 350 cubic inch engine, steering column ignition switch, 8-inch wide wheels, headlight washers, a smaller diameter steering wheel and welcome inside map pockets on the passenger side dash. This sparkling example offered here is a well-maintained convertible with a Black folding soft top. Monza Red paint over a Black Vinyl interior matches the factory trim codes. The matching numbers 350/300 HP engine is mated to its matching numbers 4-speed manual transmission. Equipped with power steering, 4-wheel power disc brakes, factory air condition and riding on new Cooper Cobra G/T radial tires, this 1969 beauty is ready to find a new home.
